Welcome to Buffalo, Bishop Fisher
When one is ordained to the order of Deacon or Priest there is a time that we kneel before the bishop and place our hands within his. The Diocesan Bishop asks: "Do you promise respect and obedience to me and my successors? It is with great joy that we at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary rejoice with all in the Church of the Diocese of Buffalo as we welcome and witness the installation of the 15th Bishop of Buffalo, Bishop Michael William Fisher. To him we pledge our respect and obedience as the new Bishop and Shepherd of Buffalo. Bishop Mike, as he often wishes to be called, was installed on Friday, January 15th at 2:00PM at the Cathedral Church of St. Joseph in Buffalo.
In the video below, we also would like to share with you some testimony about our new Bishop from those who have had the opportunity to work and minister with him in the Arch-Diocese of Washington. May God bless and guide our new Shepherd.
