First Eucharist
A Sacrament of Christian Initiation
Preparation for and the celebration of the sacrament of First Holy Eucharist typically happens in 3rd Grade. Eucharist is a Sacrament of Christian Initiation, as are the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation.
Preparation: As in previous years, preparation for First Holy Eucharist will be parent/guardian-led. We provide a very easy-to-use workbook and a suggested timeline for completion. The workbook has short and easy to follow lessons with scripture, bible stories, prayer, and colorful pictures. The workbook is submitted back to the LFF office before the student receives the sacrament.
Preparation for the sacrament is an additional part of our Elementary Family program. Children wishing to prepare for and receive the sacrament of First Holy Eucharist must be enrolled in our school-year LFF program.
Celebration Masses: Masses dedicated to the celebration of First Holy Eucharist will be held in May, as public health and safety requirements permit. The dedicated masses are held on Sundays, typically in the afternoon.
Our 2021 Masses will be held on the following dates (reservations are required):
Sunday, May 2, 2021 @ 3pm
Sunday, May 16, 2021 @ 3pm
